Hunt to Kill began filming during December 2009 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The trio had worked together for the 2010 action film The Expendables and Austin personally selected them for Hunt to Kill.
The Bounty Hunter was released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on July 13, 2010. The only extra material is three featurettes ("Making The Bounty Hunter", "Rules for Outwitting a Bounty Hunter", and "Stops Along the Road: Hunting Locations"). Set in British Columbia, Canada, the film tells the story of an orphaned grizzly bear cub who befriends a large adult male Kodiak bear as two trophy hunters pursue them through the wild. Several of the themes explored in the story include orphanhood, peril and protection, and mercy toward and on the behalf of a reformed hunter.

A Single Shot received mixed reviews from critics. On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 47% of 49 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 5.6/10.
