Shri Krishna, also known as Krishna is a 1993–1999 Indian Hindi-language television series, created, written and directed by Ramanand Sagar.It is an adaptation of the stories of the life of Krishna, based on the Srimad Bhagavatam, Brahma Vaivarta Purana, Harivamsa, Vishnu Purana, Padma Purana, Garga Samhita, Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata.
Episode 2 – Shakuni convinces Duryodhana to kill unarmed Barbareek. Episode 3 – Draupadi goes to Krishna to find a solution for Barbareek. Krishna narrates the story of Barbareek. Episode 4 – Krishna kills Narakasur and rescues sixteen thousand queens. Episode 5 – Ghatotkach goes to marry Mourvi Barbareek is born.
Realising Krishna’s divine nature as Lord Rama, Anjaneya seeks forgiveness and agrees to adorn Arjuna’s chariot as a flag. Meanwhile, Duryodhana and Sakuni conspire to eliminate the Pandavas. They build a wax palace in Varanasi and invite the Pandavas under the pretense of a royal ritual. Krishna forewarns Bhima, who digs a tunnel to escape.
Duryodhana, traditionally portrayed as an antagonist in the Mahabharata, is shown here in a more positive light as a knowledgeable and loyal friend to Karna. This sympathetic portrayal of Duryodhana, first introduced in Rama Rao's earlier film Sri Krishna Pandaveeyam (1966), is expanded upon in Daana Veera Soora Karna. [3]

Duryodhana chooses a seat at Krishna's head and waits for him to awaken, while Arjuna sits and waits at Krishna's feet.
Bhima mortally wounds Duryodhana by crushing his thighs and later, Duryodhana dies. Out of 11 Akshauhinis of the Kauravas, only survivors are mortally injured Duryodhana along with Aswatthama, Kritavarman and Kripa. [8] From Pandavas army, all five brothers, Krishna, 2000 chariots, 700 elephants, 5,000 horsemen and 10,000 foot soldiers survive.
Krishna acts as an emissary between Pandavas and Kauravas to prevent a war. The play opens with the Dvārakā scene, when Krishna is having a nap at his palace. Duryodhana and Arjuna arrive to seek his help in the impending war. Krishna puts himself on one side and his entire army on the other and asks Arjuna to choose first.
