Thorpe was a third-team All-American in 1908 [26] and a first-team All-American in 1911 and 1912. [5] Football was – and remained – Thorpe's favorite sport. [ 27 ] He did not compete in track and field in 1910 or 1911, [ 28 ] although this turned out to be the sport in which he gained his greatest fame.

Kathrynne Ann Whitworth (September 27, 1939 – December 24, 2022) was an American professional golfer. During her playing career she won 88 LPGA Tour tournaments, more than anyone else on the LPGA or PGA Tours. Whitworth was also a runner-up 93 times, giving her 181 top-two finishes. [1]
