Caney Creek is the only out-flow tributary of Lake Tyler East, although Lake Tyler as a whole comprises Lake Tyler West and Lake Tyler East, which were connected via a canal on May 29, 1968. Lake Tyler East has a surface area of 2,276 acres, an average depth of 16.5 feet, and a watershed area of 62 square miles. [ 2 ]
