Jean-Pierre Louis Rampal (7 January 1922 – 20 May 2000) was a French flautist.Rampal popularised the flute in the post–World War II years, recovering flute compositions from the Baroque era, [1] and spurring contemporary composers, such as Francis Poulenc, to create new works that have become modern standards in the flautist's repertoire.
A video recording of Bolling and Rampal playing the Suite was recorded in 1976 at the Palace of Versailles in France, and was released on LaserVision video disc and on videotape. Eventually, under the title, Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio , digital CD and DVD versions of the respective audio and video recordings were also released.

Paul Meyer (born 5 March 1965 in Mulhouse, France) is a French clarinetist. [1] Meyer is known for his solo recordings on the Denon label, notably in collaborations with Jean-Pierre Rampal and Éric Le Sage. He studied at the Paris Conservatoire and at the Basler Musikhochschule.
