Use the Devcon Plastisteel not glass or other epoxy. Devcon shrinks less than 1/10th of 1% over its lifetime. Nothing else on the market gets even close to that. As for the stock, any synthetic stock is going to be difficult to bed, because the compounds don't like bonding to the plastic.

You may want to find a scrap piece of plastic or whatever material you are working in and recreate the condition . Try filling the hole with Devcon . As a drill bit may walk when starting a hole either try a spot drill at high rpm or use an end mill that is the tap drill size for the hole . If you use an end mill

The steel options I have found are: 1) Leupold Mark 4. 2) TPS. 3) Nightforce (a little over budget) Aluminum options-. 1) Seekins Precision. 2) Nightforce STD. Wondering what the advantages are going with a steel base. Interested to hear anyone who has experience with the Leupold.
