Center Township is one of nine townships in Marion County, Indiana, in the United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 153,549, up from 142,787 in 2010, [2] and it contained 80,885 housing units. It is the most populated township in Marion County. Center Township includes downtown Indianapolis and part of Beech Grove.

Circle City Prep (also known as Circle City Preparatory Charter School or CCP) is a co-educational public charter school located on the Far Eastside of Indianapolis, Indiana. The school will open in August 2017 with the founding Kindergarten and First Grade class, with 56 students each.

[8] After two referendums failed to close the $13 million gap in school funding, the school board proposed cuts to close the gap, including cutting teachers and halting most student busing. [9]
Augusta was settled when the Michigan Road was completed. It became a thriving community with a general store and other commercial buildings. In 1852, the Indianapolis & Lafayette Railroad was constructed parallel to and about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west of Michigan Road and the settlement.
Indiana State Road 267 formerly crossed US-36 in the center of Avon, leading north 5 miles (8 km) to Brownsburg and south 4 miles (6 km) to Plainfield, but that stretch of 267 was decommissioned in 2013, and the section through Avon is now officially called Avon Avenue.
