Michael Sydney "Mick" Doohan (/ ˈ d uː ə n / DOO-ən; born 4 June 1965) is an Australian former Grand Prix motorcycle road racing World Champion, who won five consecutive 500 cc World Championships.

Mick Doohan crashed during the first qualifying, and suffered a double-fracture of the right leg; complications from the injury would keep him from racing until Brazil.
