The Catlins is an American prime-time soap opera on Superstation TBS that ran from April 4, 1983, to May 31, 1985. [1] Created by Chris McIntyre, it focuses on the lives of two wealthy and feuding families; the Catlin family and the Quinn family. The show is set in Atlanta, Georgia. [2]
The Catlins area hosts four co-educational schools: Tahakopa School, [85] Tokanui School, and Romahapa School, [86] all of which are primary schools; The Catlins Area School, Owaka [87] is a combined primary and secondary school. It is the only one of the four with more than 100 pupils.

Letters and Notes on the Customs and Manners of the North American Indians is a two-volume travel narrative by George Catlin, an American painter, author, and traveler.The book, published in 1842 in London, was written during eight years of travel from 1832 to 1839 and contains many of Catlin’s illustrations.
