Ronald Jay Blumenthal [1] (born September 25, 1969), better known by his stage name Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal or simply Bumblefoot, is an American guitarist, songwriter, and producer. He adopted his nickname from the bacterial infection of the same name , which he learned about while helping his wife study for her veterinary exams. [ 2 ]

Marion's Triumph is a 2003 documentary film that tells the story of Marion Blumenthal Lazan, a child Holocaust survivor, who recounts her painful childhood memories in order to preserve history. The film combines rare historic footage, animated flashbacks, and family photographs to illustrate the horrors she experienced.
Unable to walk, Rothstein crawled out of the hospital and survived. At one point, Rothstein asked Blumenthal if she would commit suicide with her by touching the electrically charged barbed wire fence. Blumenthal refused, as she still wished to live. In November 1944, Blumenthal and Rothstein were moved to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
