Rock Tavern – a hamlet near the western town line on NY-207. Rock Tavern is named for early landmark that was a gathering place for many years. The Tavern, owned and operated by John Humphrey in 1740, was located near the intersection of present-day Forrester Road. The tavern derives its name from a large boulder which formed its foundation.

In the late 1990s, Paul Teutul Sr. began manufacturing custom motorcycles as an extension of his steel business (OC Iron Works), and in 1999 he founded Orange County Choppers, in Montgomery, New York at 10 Factory St. (off New York State Route 17K) and later moving to 27 Stone Castle Rd. in Rock Tavern, NY.
In August 2007 DiMartino left Orange County Choppers and founded V-Force Customs, a custom motorcycle shop in Rock Tavern, NY. Several months later, Cody Connelly , a friend and co-worker of DiMartino at Orange County Choppers also left to join him at V-Force Customs.
