Bota is a 2014 Albanian drama film directed by Iris Elezi and Thomas Logoreci. The film was selected as the Albanian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards but it was not nominated. [1] The directors won the Fedeora Award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival 2014 for this film. [2]

In May 1948 the company presented its first cinematographic chronicle. It also contributed in the 1940s and 1950s with the building of many movie theatres throughout Albania. In 1952, the movie studio Kinostudio Shqipëria e Re [1] was created, which lasted until 1992, and was replaced by the Albafilm-Tirana (1992–1996).
