Spring Hill is a neighborhood on Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania's North Side. Spring Hill was named for the abundance of springs near the site. [2] According to a 1977 Neighborhood Atlas, "Germans immigrated there from 1850 to 1920, giving the neighborhood a Bavarian atmosphere. Local street names include Rhine, Woessner, Haslage, Zoller and Goehring.
Surrounding communities [ edit ] Lincoln Place has four borders, including the Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Hays to the northwest and New Homestead to the north, and the boroughs of Munhall to the northeast and West Mifflin to the east, south and west.
The city consists of the Downtown area, called the Golden Triangle, [54] and four main areas surrounding it. These surrounding areas are subdivided into distinct neighborhoods (Pittsburgh has 90 neighborhoods). [55] Relative to downtown, these areas are known as the Central, North Side/North Hills, South Side/South Hills, East End, and West End.
The most infamous 55-plus community, Central Florida’s The Villages, is the world’s largest at roughly 32 square miles — an area larger than San Francisco.
