The 2024 Woking Borough Council election was held on 2 May 2024 to elect members of Woking Borough Council. There were 11 of the 30 seats of the council up for election, being the usual third of the council plus a by-election in Hoe Valley ward. The election took place at the same time as other local elections across England. [2]
In the 1930s, with the increasing responsibilities of the council, the council leaders acquired a series of large houses in Guildford Road, Mount Herman Road and York Road to accommodate the extra staff. [4] As part of the reorganisation of local government in 1974, Woking became a borough for the first time. [5]
