This web page does not answer the query (-5/-3)^3, which is a negative number raised to the third power. It shows how to solve for (x+y)^3, which is a polynomial with three terms, using different methods and formulas.
The first equation: z=(x+y/3)w, solving for y. First, I want to say that when you are asked to solve for something, that means that you want whatever you're solving for on one side of the equal sign and everything else on the other side of the equal sign.
Assuming the problem is: Take the derivative of each term in the equation: The derivative of 2x 2 (using the power rule) is 4x
Lindsay W. asked • 12/09/17 Use the vertex (h, k) and a point on the graph (x, y) to find the general form of the equation of the quadratic function.
good question! Try implicit differentiation..here goes: If x^3 + y^3 = 6xy then d/dx(x^3 + y^3 = 6xy) - in other words just differentiate as you are both sides of equation and don't forget chain rule
I think if you write your question in paired form, it's easier to understand: (8, 1.6) and (15, 3) etc.
