24 Hour Fitness is a privately held and operated fitness center chain headquartered in Carlsbad, California. It is the second largest fitness chain in the United States based on revenue after LA Fitness , [ 3 ] and the fourth in number of clubs (behind LA Fitness, Anytime Fitness and Gold's Gym ), [ 4 ] operating 287 clubs across 11 U.S. states.

In 1990 he licensed PlayMaze to Keiser for 10 years, where they had tremendous success selling these play units to places like Burger King, McDonald's, 24 Hour Fitness, auto dealerships and even jewelry store chains for their play centers for children. As of 2016 there are still many of these units still deployed throughout the United States.

Finally, Mervyn's filed for bankruptcy protection in 2008 and closed its stores in 2009, leading to Forever 21 purchasing the company's Lakewood lease and opening a large-scale store in the former Mervyn's building.
