The Rhonde rabbit, also called the Rhön rabbit, is medium-sized, and weighs 2.5–3.2 kg (5.5–7.1 lb). It comes in gray, black, and white. It was created by Karl Becker and his son from Stadtlengsfeld, Germany, 1970 to 1973. The goal was a rabbit whose coat color resembled the trunks of birch trees.
