The Four Tops are an American vocal group formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1953 as the Four Aims. They were one of the most commercially successful American pop music groups of the 1960s and helped propel Motown Records to international fame.
The album was produced by Frank Wilson who had earlier in 1970 scored a major comeback for the Four Tops with the Still Waters Run Deep release. These two albums were on the market at the same time as follow up The Magnificent 7 , with Changing Times having the weakest sales of them all.

Four Tops is the 1965 self-titled debut studio album by the American vocal group the Four Tops. The album was produced and mostly written by the Motown's main writing/producing team Holland-Dozier-Holland. Four Tops includes the singles "Baby I Need Your Loving" , "Without the One You Love (Life's Not Worth While)", and "Ask the Lonely".
