Real Salt Lake (RSL) is an American professional soccer club based in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference . Founded in 2004, the club began play in 2005 as an expansion team .
Beavers is a product of the Real Salt Lake youth academy. He made his senior debut for Real Monarchs, Real Salt Lake's USL Championship affiliate, on June 26, 2021, starting in the 1–1 draw. [2] At the age of 16, Beavers became the youngest ever goalkeeper in the league's history. [3]
Born in Pasadena, California, Glad moved with his family to Seattle before finally settling in Tucson, Arizona, where he grew up playing soccer. [2] He joined the Real Salt Lake Arizona Academy in 2012. He was part of RSL's first national championship Academy team, scoring the winning goal in the championship match.
Gozo is a youth product of Comba FC and La Roca FC, before signing with the academy of Real Salt Lake in 2021. [2] On 14 December 2022, he signed his first professional contract with Real Monarchs in the MLS Next Pro. [3] On 13 October 2023, he was called up to RSL for his first Major League Soccer match.
Paul played soccer for a variety of clubs at youth level, spending time with local sides San Tan Legacy and Arizona Soccer Club, before joining Valparaiso United FC, helping the team to end a fifteen-year title drought for Arizona teams at the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships. [2]
He attended Dublin Coffman High School, where he played one year of varsity soccer. He also played soccer with the Columbus Crew academy between 2012 and 2017, before spending a season with Ohio Premier, who he helped to the ENPL national title in 2018 and was named to the ECNL All-American and ECNL All-Midwest teams.
Wellings joined the Real Salt Lake academy in the summer of 2020. Wellings went on to captain the under-15's team that went on to win the 2021 MLS NEXT Cup, then transitioned to the under-17 level, scoring five goals and tallying two assists in 12 appearances, and was named MLS NEXT Best Player of the Tournament. In 2018, Dewsnup joined the youth setup at Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake. [2] He spent the majority of his time in the academy playing with the under-16/17s. [3] On July 11, 2020, Dewsnup was called-in to Real Monarchs, the reserve affiliate for Real Salt Lake, for their match against San Diego Loyal but did not come off the bench. [4]
