The new Naga station for example was built 1.77 km (1.10 mi) southeast of it old location in Barangay Tabuco both to avoid causing traffic in its city center and to loosen its railway curvature. Some will also feature island platforms, particularly on major stations such as San Pablo. Other mostly smaller stations will use side platforms.
Gulod station is a proposed railway station located on the South Main Line in Laguna, Philippines. It is planned to be situated in between the existing Cabuyao and Mamatid stations. This PNR station is proposed by the JICA for both the current Metro Commuter and the South Line of the North-South Commuter Rail Project.
At Noveleta station, another spur line leads to Cavite City. Tanza to Naic section was opened in October 20, 1911 but ceased operations and abandoned in 1936. The rail tracks, including sidings between Las Pinas and Naic stations were removed in 1937 and in 1938, the reaming portion up to Paco was finally dismantled.
