As of today, January 25 2023, the Kindle for PC app (i.e., the desktop reader app) is not working. When I click on the desktop Kindle icon I receive a message informing me that the app is initializing, and then . . . nothing.

CBRetriever. March 4, 2024 at 7:14 PM. it's working fine for me on a Windows 11 laptop. I right click or click on the three dots to the right of the title, select Download and it stays an X for a minute and then it starts to download. I'm running 2.3.2 (70737) updated as of 2/24/2024.

I have chosen a female voice on Windows and narrator uses it. But Kindle for PC always uses a male voice. On my Windows 10 PC Kindle for PC uses a female voice I have chosen.
Kindle for PC display is very narrow. I'm using the latest Kindle for PC app - I downloaded it today. I'm reading it on my Surface Pro 4 which is running an up to date version of Windows 10. My issue is that the display of the book is only about one fifth the width of the screen, and I cannot make it wider.
