About Us. A Brief History... The Loma Linda Senior Center came about after over a decade of hard work on the part of a dedicated Senior Advisory Committee working with City Staff. Since the Grand Opening on September 15th, 2003 the Senior Center has fast become very popular in the Community.
The City Council is the legislative branch responsible for making policy decisions and passing ordinances concerning the conduct, affairs, and operations of the City. Additionally, the City Council also serves as the board of the Loma Linda Housing Authority and the Successor Agency.
The City of Loma Linda was incorporated in 1970. The medical school has grown into Loma Linda University, a health-science University with Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Allied Health Professions and Public Health.
