  2. Brass Quality - Best to Worst | Long Range Hunting Forum

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/brass-quality-best-to...

    795. Location. Boise, ID. Aug 8, 2021. #1. Another thread got me thinking (Reloading gear you regret buying). There were a couple comments about Hornady brass being among some of the worst. I'm still new to reloading and found that thread to be really informative. To honor the OP's request and NOT debate what IS the best gear, I started this.

  3. hands down best brass for reloading 7mm rem mag

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/hands-down-best-brass-for...

Apr 30, 2018. #2. I personally use Federal brass and have about 3-4 firings with no issues, but I can't say it's the best. Federal is all I have ever used in my 7mm rem mag. I read a lot about Nosler brass being the best, or at least one of the best, but I have no first hand experience with Nosler.

  4. Which annealing machine do you recommend? - Long Range Hunting...

It's like the Ron Popeil of annealizers. Set it and forget it. Literally takes seconds to switch calibers. I annealed 500 Blackout, 1000 5.56 and 120 6.5CR last weekend and while it took my 2 hours, I know that each piece of brass was done consistently and specifically for that lot's specifications.

  5. BEST 300wsm brass for LR? - Long Range Hunting Forum

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/best-300wsm-brass-for-lr...

I am reloading for three 300 WSM's and my 270 WSM and while doing it I have used many different brands of brass. In my experience the most uniform and consistent brass for the WSM calibers is Norma! I have some that I have shot more than 10 times and I have yet to have a split neck or a loose primer pocket.

  6. 300 Win Mag Brass Best of the Best - Long Range Hunting Forum

Location. Michigan. Oct 22, 2021. #5. Best two on the market are Lapua and Peterson and if you can get it, the Peterson .300 WM LONG brass. There are several threads here explaining the function and advantage of .300 WM Long. Just search them out. V.

  7. 338 Lapua - Best Brass? | Long Range Hunting Forum

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/338-lapua-best-brass.349141

I have also reused Barnes, Hornady and Nosler 338LM brass. Nosler was the worst to reload but new was good. Barnes is the heaviest of all of them. Solid sturdy brass. Hornady varied the most in weight but was close to some Peterson brass but usually lighter. What that means. The lighter the brass the more volume you have for powder.

  8. Best 25-06 brass - Long Range Hunting Forum

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/best-25-06-brass.248134

When I started reloading for my 25, there wasn't much actual factory 25-06 brass (1971). What I used was military surplus 30-06 brass, mostly (LC ) date stamps in the '50s. Found them at a local "gun show". Ran them through an RCBS trim die for 25-06 then through an FL die. They had to have the primer pocket crimp reamed but they lasted a long ...

  9. Which 6.5 PRC brass - Long Range Hunting Forum

    www.longrangehunting.com/threads/which-6-5-prc-brass.225715

So I'm sure you've got plenty of tread left. As far as I know, ADG is the only optional supplier of quality 6.5 PRC brass other than Hornady and they are usually out of stock. Lapua 6.5-284 brass is about $30.00 cheaper per hundred than ADG 6.5 PRC brass. If I wanted Lapua brass, I would just do a 6.5-284.

  10. Best Brass for Reloading - Shooters Forum

    www.shootersforum.com/threads/best-brass-for-reloading.78183

Now days I buy large cans of powder, large quanities of brass, primers and bullets so the lot changes are not as frequent. The Brassman sells once fired Federal brass at a reasonable price, in lots of 500 and 1,000. Federal brass does very well for my purposes, I cannot justify the expense the high priced spred. Jim
