Sahih al-Bukhari (Arabic: صحيح البخاري, romanized: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī) is the first hadith collection of the Six Books of Sunni Islam. Compiled by Islamic scholar al-Bukhari ( d. 870 ) in the musannaf format, the work is valued by Muslims, alongside Sahih Muslim , as the most authentic after the Qur'an .
Fath al-Bari (Arabic: فتح الباري, romanized: Fatḥ al-Bārī, lit. 'Grant of the Creator') is a commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari, the first of the Six Books of Sunni Islam, authored by Egyptian Islamic scholar Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani (initiated by ibn Rajab).
Sahih al-Bukhari is divided into 97 books. Books 2–33 are about the Pillars of Islam. Books 34–55 are about finance. The remaining books are not arranged according to some identifiable theme, although the very first and last books are for opening the collection (with a book on the first revelation) and closing it (with a book on Tawhid). The book contains almost three thousand (3000) hadiths according to Maktaba Shamila. [3] His work is commonly known as Ṣaḥiḥ Ibn Khuzaymah. According to Ibn Ḥajar, the actual title of the book is Kitâb Al-Ṣaḥîḥ, The Authentic Book.
