The Lone Star Conference (LSC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. Member institutions are located in the South Central states, with schools in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, with two members in the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon and Washington competing as affiliates for football only.

In 2012, the official enrollment from 9th-12th grade was 952. Naming of the school was inspired by the movie Lone Star (1996) from director John Sayles, a fictional neo-western murder mystery involving the Texas Rangers. The school mascot and sports teams are the Rangers.
The Lone Star Conference men's basketball tournament is the annual conference basketball championship tournament for the Lone Star Conference. The tournament has been held annually since 1981. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season records. [1]
It was founded in 1992 and is part of the Lone Star College System, serving the Montgomery County area. The school enrolled just over 9,200 credit students in the fall 2007 semester and is the only Lone Star College System college to offer biotechnology, physical therapist assistant, human services and land surveying degrees.
