[4] It is mainly a cattle ranch, but also produced the racehorse Assault, who won the Triple Crown in 1946.

The Luis Maria Baca Grant No. 4, south of Crestone, Colorado, was a large land grant made in 1860 by the United States to the heirs of the original Vegas Grandes Grant to the Baca family of New Mexico in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
