The Warner Archive Collection is a home video division for releasing classic and cult films from Warner Bros.' library. [1] [2] It started as a manufactured-on-demand (MOD) DVD series by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on March 23, 2009, with the intention of putting previously unreleased catalog films on DVD for the first time. [3]
With over 1,461 theatrical releases available, the same publication ranks Alpha Video #2 in the "Top 20 Sources for Theatrical Catalog on DVD," just behind Warner Home Video (1,609 releases). [ 2 ] The company is privately held, and owned by Collectables Records founder Jerry Greene.
Whether or not you actually watch your DVDs anymore, you likely have a bunch lying around -- and depending on what they are, they could fetch you some extra cash if you're interested in selling them.
These boxed set releases are of films by notable actors, directors or studios that were previously unreleased on DVD or VHS. The sets often include bonus discs including documentaries and shorts from the Turner Classic Movies library. The initial batch of DVDs are printed in limited quantities and subsequent batches are made-on-demand (MOD).
Twilight Time was a boutique home media label specializing in releasing limited edition DVD and Blu-ray discs of classic films, founded in 2011. All titles were sold online exclusively through Screen Archives Entertainment until July 1, 2015, when the company launched its own online store.
Time-Life, which had been offering books as part of its subscription media offerings since 1961, began offering music the next year.
