St Edward's Roman Catholic/Church of England School [1] is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in Poole in the English county of Dorset. [ 2 ] The school turned 50 years old in 2013, and is one of a small number of joint Roman Catholic and Church of England secondary schools in the country.
It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockford and competes athletically in the Chicagoland Christian Conference. St. Edward Central Catholic was established in 1941 by the Adrian Dominican Sisters. It was named after St. Edward the Confessor and in honor of Bishop Edward Francis Hoban, 2nd Bishop of the Rockford diocese. [2]
