Walnut Cove is a town in Stokes County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,536 at the 2020 census. [5] It is the home of the Walnut Cove Springfest, which draws many visitors to the area. Festival-organizers marked 1889, the town's incorporation date, but the town's roots date to the mid-18th century when it was known as Town Fork.

North Carolina Highway 65 (NC 65) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. Traveling east–west within the Piedmont Triad , it connects the towns of Rural Hall , Walnut Cove , Stokesdale and Wentworth with the city of Reidsville .
NC 89 is an original North Carolina state highway, established in 1921 by the North Carolina State Highway Commission. [2] The highway began at NC 80 in Mount Airy and ran east to Francisco where it intersected NC 661. The highway then turned southeast, travelled through Danbury and Walnut Cove, before ending at NC 897 in Walkertown.

US 29 and NC 87 north to NC 14 and then South-east on NC 14 to US 29, the route would bypass the City by taking US 158 south along Bus. US 29/NC 87 to where they split and then following NC 87 South to US 29.
