Edison Park (formerly Canfield) is one of the 77 community areas of Chicago. It is located on the Northwest side of Chicago , Illinois , United States. It consists entirely of the Edison Park neighborhood , and is named after Thomas Alva Edison , [ 3 ] who gave his blessing to this community namesake in 1890.
Edison Park's historic fieldhouse was built in 1907 as a public school. The fieldhouse was designed by Solon Spencer Beman in the Arts and Crafts style. A branch of the Chicago Public Library operated out of the fieldhouse from 1937 to 1960, and the building has also served as a community center.

[3] In Metra's zone-based fare system, Edison Park is in Zone 2.
The Boston–Edison Historic District is a neighborhood located in Detroit, Michigan.It consists of over 900 homes built on four east-west streets: West Boston Boulevard, Chicago Boulevard, Longfellow Avenue and Edison Avenue, stretching from Woodward Avenue in the east to Linwood Avenue in the west. The company's executives subdivided it, laid out streets according to a plan inspired by New York's Central Park and built houses on the land, with covenants requiring a minimum lot size and house value. Two of them were among the first fully electric houses in the U.S., used as models by GE.
