Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (Arabic: خليفة بن زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان; 7 September 1948 – 13 May 2022) [3] [4] was the second president of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Abu Dhabi, serving from November 2004 until his death in May 2022. [5]
It was reportedly built in the early 20th century by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, during the reign of his father. [1] The fort opened as a museum in 2015. Nasser bin Zayed's son, Ahmed bin Nasser, attended Abu Dhabi Police College from which he graduated in 2010. [6] Sheikh Nasser died in a helicopter crash off the coast of Abu Dhabi on 2 June 2008.
