Sliders is an American science fiction and fantasy television series created by Robert K. Weiss and Tracy Tormé. It was broadcast for five seasons between 1995 and 2000. The series follows a group of travelers as they use a wormhole to "slide" between different parallel universes.

The details of what happens if they "miss the slide" changed a couple of times. If you watch season 1 in its original airing order (instead of the order the writers intended), it's more confusing because episode 2 (which tried to explain the timer) didn't air until 5th or 6th.
I think episodes 5. "The Prince of Wails" and 6. "The Summer of Love" should be interchanged. I didn't watch the original broadcasts, but the point is: in the summer of love the sliders end up in some original clothes and in the beginning of the prince of Wails they are precisely in that clothes.
