Carnival Fascination, originally Fascination, was a Fantasy-class cruise ship built at Helsinki, Finland in 1994. For most of her service with Carnival Cruise Lines she operated out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2017 Carnival Fascination was chartered to the US Government to assist with hurricane relief work in the Virgin Islands.
Carnival Sunrise (formerly Carnival Triumph) is a Destiny-class cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line. As she and her three younger sisters ( Carnival Radiance , Costa Fortuna , and Costa Magica ) are each a redesigned version of the lead ship in the class, she is sometimes referred to as the first of the Triumph class of cruise ships.
The concept, designed by CallisonRTKL, aims to tackle the oversupply of cruise ships and address a lack of affordable housing in Miami.
