Panama City Beach had a population of 18,094 at the time of the 2020 census, up from 12,018 in 2010. [4] Panama City Beach's slogan is "The World's Most Beautiful Beaches" due to the unique, [5] sugar-white sandy beaches of the Florida Panhandle.
The shipbuilder William Cossar was granted 500 acres (202 hectares) at Long Reef in 1815. [11] A farm of 52 cleared acres at Long Reef was advertised for sale in 1825.
