Webb (sometimes referred to as Webb Town) [4] is the northernmost town in Herkimer County, New York, United States.As of the 2020 Census it had a population of 1,797. [5]It is named after William Seward Webb, president of the Raquette Lake Transportation Company, the Fulton Chain Railway Company, Fulton Navigation Company, and the Mohawk and Malone Railway.
Old Forge is a hamlet (and census-designated place) on New York State Route 28 in the town of Webb in Herkimer County, New York, United States. The population was 756 at the 2010 census. [ 7 ] Old Forge was formerly a village but dissolved its incorporation in 1936, [ 3 ] [ 8 ] but it remains the principal community in the region.
Webb was established as a railroad stop on the International-Great Northern Railroad in 1881. The town was named in honor of the county in which it was founded. A Webb post office, established in 1909, was still in operation in 1980. According to a local count in 1914 Webb, Texas had a population of 100, but its population declined to 25 by 1936.
The New York Central Railroad Adirondack Division Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. [4] The Thendara Historic District was listed in 2010. [1] [5] Thendara was the site of early efforts to settle the town of Webb in 1811, but the effort failed.

Webb is a town in Houston County, Alabama, United States. It is named for plantation owner B. F. Webb, who settled in the area around 1890. The town was incorporated in 1903. [2] It is part of the Dothan, Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 census, the population was 1,430, [3] up from 1,298 in 2000.

It is located east-southeast of Minnehaha in the Town of Webb in Herkimer County. In 1916, a 50-foot-tall (15 m) steel fire lookout tower was built on the mountain. The tower ceased fire lookout operations at the end of the 1970 season. The tower still remains and is open to the public with the exception of the tower cab.
