Indira Gandhi National Open University, known as IGNOU, is a public open & distance learning university located in Delhi, India. Named after the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, the university was established in 1985 with a budget of ₹ 20 million, after the Parliament of India passed the Indira Gandhi National Open University Act, 1985 (IGNOU Act 1985). [4]
It is the second largest open university in India after Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). [ 1 ] Initially the headquarter of the university was functioning from its camp office which is located at Biscomaun Bhawan , 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 12th Floors, Patna-800001.
Bilaspur (HP). This was the first College of Education in Distt. Bilaspur (NAAC accredited) with an intake of 200 seats. In 2010, Shiva college of Education has also got permission to run IGNOU study centre for B.Ed. course having 100 seats.
The Government Degree College, Anantnag was established in 1950 as an Intermediate College.One of the largest colleges of northern India, it is spread over an area of 250 kanals.

The standardized university admission tests are administered every summer right before the start of the new academic year starting each September. Currently, there are 26 registered State and private universities in Armenia. Admission to private universities is dependent upon the policies of each private institution. [1]
IGNOU Study Centre; A study cum examination centre (Code No. 0411) of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was set up in the college premises in 1999 with Pabitra Mohan Kalita, former HOD, Physics, as its founder co-ordinator. The centre offers the following programmes with Dr Rupam Patgiri, HOD, Chemistry as its present co-ordinator.
