But when wearing the Deku Mask, the "dummy" left behind simply looks like a basic Deku shrub, and nothing like the Deku Butler's son. Also, when you obtain the Song of Healing, it says that it heals souls and curses. The curses is probably referring to the Deku Mask Curse. At the end of the game, it doesn't even show the Deku Butler crying.
