Chitralekha is a 1934 Hindi novel by the Indian novel writer Bhagwati Charan Verma about the philosophy of life, love, sin and virtue. It is said to be modelled on Anatole France's 1890 novel Thaïs but set in India. [1] However, the author noted in the book's preface:

' In memorium Saroj ') is a long elegiacal poem in Hindi written by Suryakant Tripathi 'Nirala'. He composed this following the death of his 18-year-old daughter, Saroj, in 1935. Its first publication occurred in the second edition of Anāmikā in 1937. This poem is considered one of the finest elegies in Hindi literature. [1]

Laxminarayan Payodhi was born on March 23, 1957, in the village of Ankisa, Maharashtra, and spent his formative years in Bhopalpatnam, Chhattisgarh.Hailing from a Telugu-speaking family, Payodhi, despite being a Hindi student, developed a profound interest in various Vedas and epics, becoming an authority in both Telugu and Hindi.
Literary essays. He was a prominent Hindi critic of Dwivedi and Shukla Yuga during the early half of the 20th century, which was the golden age of Hindi literature. He, along with the likes of Mahaveer Prasad Dwivedi and Acharya Ramchandra Shukla, gave the form a much-needed philosophical and analytical impetus.
