Brătescu was artistic director of literature and art magazine Secolul 21. [3] A major retrospective of her work was held at the National Museum of Art of Romania in December 1999. In 2015 Brătescu's first UK solo exhibition was held at the Tate Liverpool. [4] In 2017, she was selected to represent Romania at the 57th Venice Biennale.
Pictorialism is an international style and aesthetic movement that dominated photography during the later 19th and early 20th centuries. The present-day Cruceni was created by German colonization in 1722, [2] being designed according to the same Austrian models adapted to Banat, with straight and perpendicular streets. The first church, a Roman Catholic one, was built in 1780. The new church was built in 1914.
