The Seven Deadly Sins and the Holy Knights unite against Hendrickson with Meliodas defeating him, unaware that he escaped with the Coffin of Eternal Darkness. Soon after, Bartra gives the Holy Knights the task of restoring the kingdom as penance for their actions while rewarding the Seven Deadly Sins for saving the kingdom and protecting Elizabeth.
Meliodas and Merlin, through Bartra's omens, then assembled the Seven Deadly Sins for the purpose of destroying the Commandments. Meliodas is then revealed to have been cursed with immortality for causing the Ancient War, with Elizabeth confident that he would honor his promise of returning to her.
A decade later, the Sins have a reunion during the birthday of Meliodas and Elizabeth's son Tristan, who was sold by the rumors about them before learning of the group's actual story. The following day, while sparing with his father, Tristan expresses his resolve to become a Holy Knight like the Seven Deadly Sins.
