A $20 pay-once Destiny expansion is nothing on the $15/mo WOW subscription - which is also likely played by more people monthly than buy a single Destiny expansion. That is a hell of a difference. And I have no proof, but I'd wager the whole "fund new content" part means in-game and not the companion apps.
I repeat, Destiny Item Manager uses the same API calls as all these iPhone and android apps. As long as there is access to the HTTP cookie info you can do it. Ishtar Commander is just set up to use username/password auth instead of cookie auth. The HTTP request engine it uses will have to be refactored to use a cookie.

Funter_312. •. Ishtar has the best UI and has a great mobile app for straight gear management. DIM is the best for bells and whistles and loadouts. Honestly on PC you should be fine using DIM with two monitors or flipping screens but if you like gear management from your phone Ishtar commander is def the play.
