The 1990 Japanese Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held on 21 October 1990 at Suzuka Circuit, the fifteenth and penultimate race of the 1990 Formula One World Championship. It was the 16th Japanese Grand Prix and the 6th held at Suzuka.

The given name for Suzuka is derived from the Imperial Japanese Navy destroyer Sukukaze. In Chapter 174 of A Town Where You Live, she is seen with Akari, Kiyomi and Nanami in a bath. She and Fūka make a brief appearance at Fantasy Land in Chapter 126, on board a train in Chapter 257, and in both the OVA's.

The 1998 Japanese Grand Prix (formally the XXIV Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix) was a Formula One motor race held at Suzuka, Mie, Japan on 1 November 1998. It was the sixteenth and final round of the 1998 FIA Formula One World Championship.
