Boaz is a city in Marshall and Etowah counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. The Marshall County portion of the city is part of the Albertville Micropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 10,107. [3] Boaz was known for its outlet shops. [4]

Albertville is located in southeastern Marshall County, and is bordered to the southeast by the city of Boaz and to the northwest by the city of Guntersville.. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 27.037 square miles (70.03 km 2), of which 26.937 square miles (69.77 km 2) is land and 0.100 square miles (0.26 km 2), is water.
State Route 77 (SR 77) is a 124-mile-long (200 km) north–south state highway in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Alabama. The southern terminus of the highway is at an intersection with U.S. Route 431 (US 431) near LaFayette. The northern terminus of the highway is at an intersection with US 431 just north of Attalla.
At Boaz, the route turns northeastwardly, crossing US 431 and leading into DeKalb County. The eastern terminus of the route is at Kilpatrick, an unincorporated community near the border of DeKalb and Marshall Counties. [2] SR 168 passes several outlet malls near downtown Boaz. The malls are located west of the junction between US 431 and SR 168.
