Looks like the best method is to buy a Gen 3 19 and the 19L slide and barrel. You cannot have a 19L with a 17 frame if you want a true 19L (if there is such a thing). Also with buying the 19 and adding the 19L slide and barrel, you can sell the OEM 19 slide and barrel. In the end, everything is OEM except the 19L slide.

As long as the extractor is in place the firing pin safety has not dropped down as it is held in place by the extractor. If the extractor was removed you should be able to see into the frame and tell if the firing pin safety has slipped down. It could be that the rsa on the 17 has hooked over part of the locking block of the G45 as the G45 has ...
Muzzle flip. I tightened my grip and made sure my shooting thumb rested on the base of my support thumb away from the slide stop lever (very awkward position). Shot the 3 Glock and 1 Magpul 17-round mags. Each time, the slide was able to lock in the open position when out of ammo.

Prior to Gen5 the barrel lugs on the 17 and 19 are spaced differently so the frames are not interchangeable. I don’t currently know about the Gen5s.

A G-22 ejector will reliably eject 9mm rounds. If you would like to put a G-17 slide on top for cheap practice, it's OK. Don't bet your life on it or anything. The G-22 and G-31 ejector are the same. So you can put a .357 Sig upper on and it will be the exact same thing as a G-31.
The 22 and 17 use the same frame and locking block for Gen3 & 4's. I have gen3 22 and 17 and use the gen4 ejector from a 22 for both with no issues. You can get a 40-9mm conversion barrel for your 22 and really make a soft shooter. Let me see if I understand what you want to do, you want to put a .40 caliber barrel in a G17 slide and put it on ...
Need a 19LS barrel (or Glock 17 Gen 5 barrel). Even OEM barrels shoot better than I do but those are not seen in the wild yet, separate from their original slides. My options currently are: KKM $175. Lone Wolf $138. Victory First / (Brownells collab) $153 (was at $125 when I first saw it, d'oh) Have heard mixed reviews on Lone Wolf.
Converting a G17.3 to 34 or just longer barrel. I have a 17 gen 3 as backup to my 21SF. Live in California so Gen4/5 nearly impossible to get unless you mortgage your house. Saw a guy next to me at the range shooting a 34. Got me thinking of maybe converting the 17 to a 34, but had a hard time finding parts to swap the slide.
