OCPO purchases goods, services, and equipment using the United Nations Standard Products and Services Code (UNSPSC), which is an open, global, multi-sector standard for efficient and accurate classification of products and services. UNSPSC codes allow OCPO to track and report procurement expenditures by category.

The Cook County Down Payment Assistance Program is a $3 million pilot program that helps home buyers with down payments, closing costs or mortgage buydowns. The program, launched in June 2024, provides subsidies of up to $25,000 or 5 percent of the home purchase, whichever is less.
