Evermore Lubbock, just west of the Texas Tech campus, is a private home with a themed mural inside. The 806 Yellow House is a 1930s cottage in the Historic South Overton Neighborhood.
In 1976, Llano Estacado Winery was established in southeast Lubbock County, Texas, while it was still a dry county. [2] The state legislature passed a bill two years later permitting wine production in dry counties. [2] The winery planted its first vineyard in 1978. [3]

The Mesilla Valley AVA is an American Viticultural Area located primarily in the state of New Mexico, with a small area in the state of Texas. [3] Spanish explorer Don Juan de Oñate arrived in the area in 1598, and named a Native American village in the valley Trenquel de la Mesilla, from which the valley as a whole became known as Mesilla Valley.
