In mathematics, a multiplication table (sometimes, less formally, a times table) is a mathematical table used to define a multiplication operation for an algebraic system. The decimal multiplication table was traditionally taught as an essential part of elementary arithmetic around the world, as it lays the foundation for arithmetic operations ...

It requires memorization of the multiplication table for single digits. This is the usual algorithm for multiplying larger numbers by hand in base 10. A person doing long multiplication on paper will write down all the products and then add them together; an abacus-user will sum the products as soon as each one is computed.
The triangle in the bottom left of the table is always blank. The following diagram shows the multiplication table for the simple 7: Napier's Promptuary: multiple diagram for digit 7. Complete number strips for the simple 7 and the simple 2 are shown in the following diagram. The lines delineating the triangles have been omitted.
Schoolhouse Rock! debuted as a series in January 1973 with Multiplication Rock, a collection of animated music videos adapting the multiplication tables to songs written by Bob Dorough. Dorough also performed most of the songs, with Grady Tate performing two and Blossom Dearie performing one during this season.
However, it consists purely or largely of information which is better suited to representation in wikitext (possibly using MediaWiki's special syntax for tables, math, or music). This will make the information easier to edit, as well as make it accessible to users of screen readers and text-based browsers.
