The Darkest Age: Live '93 is a live album by the Polish death metal band Vader. It was recorded at TS WisÅ‚a Sports Hall in Kraków on 13 December 1993 and was originally released on Baron Records in 1994 in cassette format.
The performance was recorded with new Faces bassist Tetsu Yamauchi, replacing Ronnie Lane, who had left soon after the release of Ooh La La, fed up at the group increasingly being presented as Stewart's backing band. Coast to Coast was recorded live on 17 October 1973 at the Anaheim Convention Center and was mixed at Island Studios in London. [4]
The cover art was drawn by Dan Seagrave.The album was originally recorded at Sunlight Studio with Thomas Skogsberg, but neither the record label or Vader was pleased with the outcome and decided to use another studio because of technical issues.
After release of three demo albums – Live in Decay (1986), Necrolust (1989), and Morbid Reich (1990), Vader was signed to British record label Earache Records. The band's debut album The Ultimate Incantation was released in late 1992, and gained recognition in the death metal scene. It was supported by "Dark Age" music video produced for MTV.
The release of the album was also supported by live shows, including April's No Mercy Festival 2000, and in June, the band embarked on a 30-date European tour with Vital Remains, Fleshcrawl, and Pandemia.
