The first hotel to carry the name The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong was located in Central, Hong Kong on Chater Road. It opened in August 1993 [1] and closed on January 31, 2008. [2] It was demolished in 2009 and the CCB Tower was constructed on the site. It is one of the 10 tallest buildings ever demolished. [3]
