The Round Rock, Texas location opened on November 12, 2020. It consists of a 223,000-square-foot (20,700 m 2 ) indoor waterpark (the second largest in the country), outdoor water park, 3 acres of outdoor pools, a 975-room hotel, five restaurants, 10,000 square feet of retail space and a 200,000 square-foot convention center.
Emerson Process Management purchased the first two office buildings, called Frontera Vista I and II, in July 2011, moving their world headquarters to Round Rock and occupying 200,000 square feet (19,000 m 2) of office space with approximately 875 jobs, [14] and a projected 10,000 room nights in area hotels.
Round Rock is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, in Williamson County (with a small part in Travis County), [4] which is a part of the Greater Austin metropolitan area. Its population is 119,468 according to the 2020 census.
The company was sold to railroad company CSX, which combined it with its hotel resort The Greenbrier. In 1986, CSX sold the brand, and the original hotel companies were dispersed, though The Greenbrier remained. In 1999, the RockResorts brand was acquired by Olympus Hospitality, [1] and later acquired by Vail Resorts in 2001. [2]
